Other Waco Attractions

Waco is a special place, full of lots of activities and attractions! Here are a few we think you should check out while you visit our wonderful city.

Magnolia

There is so much to explore at the now-famous Silos, home to the Magnolia Market, the Silos Baking Co. (we are partial to their oatmeal cream pies!), and a variety of other specialty shops. Walkable from Fabled, we love the bustle it brings to Waco!

Spice Village

If you are looking for one-of-a-kind boutiques all under one roof, look no further! Just across the way from our bookshop is the Spice Village, a converted warehouse with over 40 boutiques selling all kinds of treasures. It’s a Waco staple for a reason!

Dr. Pepper Museum

Where else can you learn everything you’d ever want to know—and more—about Dr. Pepper, which was created right here in Waco! Don’t forget to try a Dr. Pepper float in the gift shop, and see the history of a household name come to life!

Cameron Park

One of the most beautiful things about being right on the Brazos River is the extensive Cameron Park, with over 400 acres of park right in the heart of Waco. Between playgrounds, river trails, great hikes and breathtaking views, this is a great place to look for a beautiful outdoor reading space or enjoy a quiet morning walk.

Cameron Park Zoo

If you have time, the Cameron Park Zoo is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. We especially love our newest Penguin Shores exhibit, and those of us at Fabled with small children know that the lions and giraffes are always a hit. The path through the zoo winds through all the exhibits, and the Zoo is easily accessible and within Cameron Park itself!

Saturday Farmer’s Market in Downtown Waco

If you’re looking for a morning cup of coffee and lots of local flavor, check out the Farmer’s Market located right across the street from the Courthouse! Just a few minutes away from Fabled, the Farmer’s Market hosts local farmers, food trucks, and other local vendors starting at 8am on Saturday morning.
